Bot bases: steal only when the window opens
Free bases on a server can be taken by bot rivals, so the island does not feel empty. They own Goobers just like players do, and you can steal from them.
There is a catch. Bot bases are locked most of the time. If you try to steal while a bot base is locked, the game tells you that bot bases are locked. They open for stealing only in short windows.
Watch the door board above the base: it shows OPEN or LOCKED. Wait for the door to open, pick your moment and run. Real players do not follow this rule, their bases are protected by their own shield and lasers.
