How laser doors protect your base
Every base in Steal a Goober has a door with laser beams and a board above it. The board says OPEN or LOCKED, and when the base is locked it also shows a countdown.
Press SHIELD to lock your base for 40 seconds. After that the shield needs 90 seconds to recharge. While the door is locked, a thief gets a message that the base is shielded and cannot take your Goobers.
Between shields, rely on the Laser Traps upgrade in UPGRADES. It has 5 levels, and the red lasers slow thieves down. Add the guard dog and the hammer, and a thief has to think twice before running in.
