Update 3: Secret Goober Hunt
Update 3 is live. A SECRET Goober is hiding on the island, and the whole server is on the hunt!
How it works:
- Every 20 to 30 minutes a signal rings out. Follow the arrow and the Cold... Warmer... HOT! meter. It never shows the exact spot, only the direction and how close you are
- Found it? Hold GRAB for 3 seconds, then grab 3 golden keys while the Goober runs around (25 seconds)
- Now run to YOUR base in 40 seconds. Other players can steal it from you on the way, so watch your back
- If nobody catches it in 2 minutes, a light beam shoots up in the last 30 seconds. If it escapes, the next hunt gets easier
- Rewards: the SECRET Goober itself, bonus cash, the Secret Hunter title, a daily quest and a HUNTED badge in your Goober Index (3 catches give a golden frame)
- Everyone who joined the hunt gets a prize, even if somebody else wins. Base full? The Goober goes to your Safe Chest, or you get its price in cash. Nothing is lost
- Fair play: up to 3 catches per day per player, and brand-new accounts get the hunt prize but cannot catch the Goober yet
Bonus: the secret Goober shows up glitching, with an Error 404, color flicker and jumpy moves. How long can you hold it? There are no new purchases in this update.
